can grok bot do it?

about

Grok Bot isn't a coding assistant. It's a fleet of bots sharing one always-on computer in the cloud, with a browser, a terminal, a filesystem and your logins. That makes the interesting question different from the one everyone else is asking. Not can an AI write this code — it can — but can a bot build the thing and keep it running, so you never open a terminal at all.

This site answers that one app at a time. Three verdicts, no hedging: yes means the bot builds it and hosts it on its own machine. kinda means it builds, but you host it, babysit it or register an OAuth app yourself — and we say which. not really means the value is the network, the data or the compliance, and no amount of prompting conjures those. The not really entries are the ones that make the rest worth reading.

A few apps get a fourth label: no build needed. Those are the ones where the software only ever existed because a program can't sit at a keyboard on a Tuesday morning — and a bot can. It just logs in and does the job.

how the verdicts are made

Read as an editorial call from someone who has built a lot of this stuff, weighed against what Grok Bot documentably does. They are opinions, held firmly and stated plainly, and they will flip as the models get better. If one is wrong, say so — being corrected in public is the point of putting this on the internet.

Prices are checked against the live pricing page on the date shown on each entry. Nothing here is sponsored, and nothing here ever will be in a way that buys a verdict.

credit where it's due

This is shamelessly inspired by canivibecodeit by Rob Hallam, which asked the same question about coding agents and did it first. Go read his — it has a thousand apps on it and ours has a handful.
