Grok Bot isn't a coding assistant. A coding assistant writes you code and hands it back · you still run it, deploy it, and fix it at 11pm when it falls over. Grok Bot is a fleet of bots sharing one always-on computer, with a browser, a terminal and your logins, and it carries on after you close the laptop.

So the interesting question isn't can an AI write this code — it can, and it could last year. It's can you hand this over and stop thinking about it. That's a question about delegation, not about code, and it's the one this site answers, one subscription at a time.

The verdicts

Yes means hand it over and walk away. Kinda means it gets most of the way but you stay in the loop, and we say exactly where. Not really means what you're paying for isn't code at all — a panel of survey respondents is people, a bank feed is an agreement with a bank, and a monitor is only worth having if it fails independently of the thing it watches. No amount of prompting conjures those. Those entries are the ones that make the rest worth reading.

How the verdicts are made

Read as an editorial call from someone who has built a lot of this stuff, weighed against what Grok Bot documentably does. They are opinions, held firmly and stated plainly, and they will flip as the models get better. If one is wrong, say so — being corrected in public is the point of putting this on the internet.
