This is the clearest case on the site for not building anything at all. A scheduler exists because software cannot sit at a keyboard at 9am on a Tuesday - but a bot can. It already has a browser and it can already log into X, LinkedIn and Instagram as you. Hand it the queue and the times and it just posts them. No app, no API keys, no developer account, no waiting a week for Instagram to approve your Graph API access. The one real risk is that you are automating a logged-in session, and platforms are within their rights to dislike that.

the prompt

Written for a bot that already has a browser, a terminal and your logins · paste it in whole.

You have a computer, a browser and my social logins. Be my scheduler. Do not build me an app.

How it works:
- Read my queue from a Google Sheet called 'posts' with columns: date, time, text, image_url, x, linkedin, instagram (TRUE/FALSE per platform), status.
- Every 15 minutes, look for rows that are due and not yet posted.
- Post them by logging into each platform in your browser, the same way I would. Download the image first if there is one.
- Write back status = posted plus a permalink, or status = failed plus the reason. Never leave a row ambiguous.

Rules:
- Never post the same row twice. Check status before you act, and again after.
- If a login has expired or a platform shows a captcha, stop and message me. Do not retry a login loop.
- If a post fails, do not fall back to another platform or reword it. Report and wait.
- Space multi-platform posts 60 seconds apart so it doesn't look like a firehose.

Before you go live: post one test to X only, from a row I mark test=TRUE, and show me the permalink. Wait for my OK before you touch the rest of the queue.

the bot will need to sign into: x · linkedin · instagram · google-sheets

what you lose

  • an app on your phone for reordering the queue in a coffee queue
  • analytics you did not have to ask for
  • a shared approval workflow if more than one person posts
  • the safety of an officially sanctioned API - a session-based bot can get rate-limited or flagged

the numbers

Essentials is $5/mo per channel, Team $10. Free covers 3 channels with 10 queued posts each, so three channels on Essentials is $15/mo.
